Do you know a kid who loves the outdoors? The Swanzey Conservation Commission is offering a scholarship to one Swanzey resident (ages 8-17) to attend Barry Conservation 4-H Camp in the White Mountain National Forest next summer. Enjoy hands-on learning in environmental and conservation programs, plus swimming, hiking, campfire, canoeing, skits, fishing, archery, and more. Themed weeks include 4-H Shooting Sports, Fish Camp, 4-H On the Wildside, and Hunter Education. Youngsters 8-12 can do an abbreviated Mini-Camp; older students are invited to join North Country Adventure or Junior Conservation Officer camps.
Barry Conservation Camp is operated by the UNH Cooperative Extension 4-H Program in cooperation with the N.H. Fish and Game Department. Learn more by visiting https://extension.unh.edu/new-hampshire-4-h/barry-conservation-4-h-camp
