Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board’s work is to evaluate the requests of property owners who want to use their land in ways that deviate from Swanzey’s zoning ordinance. Examples include requests for variances or special exceptions, appeals from administrative decisions and requests for equitable waivers from dimensional requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 State of Emergency, the ZBA will be holding its meetings remotely using the web-based program Zoom until further notice. Board members and applicant will be participating in this meeting remotely and will not be meeting at Whitcomb Hall. Members of the public will be able to access these meetings through a variety of options as described in the attached Public Participation Guidelines.

Legal notices are posted on the Town website, at Town Hall, the Swanzey post office, printed in the Keene Sentinel, and sent by certified mail to abutters.
