Description :

Swanzey is a growing town of approximately 7,300 residents located in southwestern New
Hampshire.  We are seeking an applicant for the position of Police Officer, (certification 
preferred but not required). Minimum qualifications; you must pass a physical fitness test,
oral board, intensive background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological exam
and a medical exam.  All non-Certified Candidates will be sent to officer training school to
obtain certification by New Hampshire Police Standards and Training.

Starting pay is $21.82 - $25.94 per hour, with overtime and special detail opportunities the
annual average income is $55,000+.  Benefits include a dental plan, also a medical plan or a
monthly opt out stipend of $500 (with proof of medical insurance elsewhere).  Employees
receive short term disability and life insurance at no cost.  Earned time consists of: paid time
off (PTO) of 20 hours a quarter, sick time and vacation time.

Earn up to $4000 in bonus incentives; sign on bonus at 3 months, bonus upon completion
of Field training, yearly physical fitness bonus, 1 year anniversary bonus and an additional
