The Town of Swanzey has been informed by DiLuzio Ambulance Inc., the Town’s contracted ambulance service, that DiLuzio will be ceasing operations in the very near future. Rescue Inc. of Brattleboro, VT will be providing ambulance transport service to Swanzey based out of the City of Keene. There will be continuity of operations to ensure that emergency medical calls continue to be responded to in a consistent manner. The Town is actively evaluating multiple options for primary ambulance transport service moving forward.
Board of Selectmen Chair Ken Colby stated, “Swanzey appreciates the high level of service that the community has received from DiLuzio Ambulance over the last several decades, but I am disappointed that the relationship is ending this suddenly. Swanzey is taking all steps to ensure that there is no lapse in ambulance transport services.”
