Public Beach Lifeguard
Do you enjoy swimming, being outside and working with the public? If so, the Swanzey Recreation Department is looking for certified lifeguards to over-see the public beach at Richardson Park. This opportunity is great for anyone that is looking to enjoy their summer outside, helping the community.
Ideal candidates hold a current certification for Lifeguarding or are willing to get certified before the beach opens for the summer. We will pay to train the right candidates.
Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising the beach and waterfront at Richardson Park
- Opening the beach on weekends
- Preventing accidents and ensuring safety for all beach goers
- Maintaining a clean beach and waterfront (raking, trash removal, etc.)
Pay rates will range from $13-$15 per hour, depending on years of experience, certifications and duties assigned.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 12:00pm to 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am to 7:30pm.
All applicants must be age 16 and older. If 18 years or older, required to pass a Criminal Background Check. If 16 or 17 years old, three letters of recommendations are needed.
