DOG LICENSES:       

N.H. State Law requires all dogs 4 months and older to be licensed each year by April 30th. Regardless  of when the license is obtained, the license shall be effective May 1st of every year to April 30th of the subsequent year. 
     
Failure to license your dog is a violation of N.H. State Law RSA 466:1.  In addition to the annual license fee you will be charge a late fee of $1.00 per month, per dog starting in June.     
If your dog is not registered by the end of June, the Town Clerk's office will forward that list to the Select Board and a Civil Forfeiture fee will be assessed in the amount of $25.00 plus the cost of the certified mail.         
If not paid within 15 days of the notice you will be summoned to appear in court.

Below is the cost to license your dog
  • $6.50 for all dogs spayed or neutered
  • $9.00 for all unaltered dogs
  • $2.00 applies to owners who are 65 or older for the first dog, normal fees apply for additional dogs.    
  • $20.00 is a kennel fee that applies to all owners who own 5 dogs or more.
