The Town of Swanzey is pleased to announce the hiring of Sebastian Villacres as its new Human Resources Coordinator, with his first day of work expected to be May 7th. With a robust background, including recent positions at G&H Stingray and Cheshire Medical Center, Mr. Villacres brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Farmingdale State College and a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Stony Brook University.

Mr. Villacres expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Swanzey community, stating, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the Town of Swanzey as the Human Resources Coordinator. I look forward to working closely with the team and serving the employees and residents of this wonderful community."

Town Administrator Michael Branley conveyed his support for Mr. Villacres, stating, "I am confident that Sebastian's extensive experience and dedication to employee management will be invaluable assets to our town. We welcome him to Swanzey Town Hall and look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly make."

The appointment of Mr. Villacres marks a significant step forward for the Town of Swanzey as it continues to prioritize effective personnel management to support its employees and improve community services. Prior to the 2024 budget, the HR function was a shared position that also provided human services. With a dedicated human resources position the Town hopes to improve employee training and recruitment, wellness efforts, and policy and systems development.
